  • Girl Rising, Saturday, April 20th, 6-8pm, La Jolla High School Parker Auditorium

Girl Rising (PG-13) is the culmination of 6 years of work by a team of former journalists from ABC News. They set out to investigate how to end global poverty and what they discovered was a simple elegant truth: That educating girls is the highest-return investment you can make in breaking cycles of poverty. The desire to spread that truth led them to make this film.  Among other stories, the movie features Suma one of the 20,000 Room to Read Girls Education Program scholars.

    Limited Seating Available
